  1. PageStream2.2 needs to be patched before it can work properly
  2. with HotLinks. This file contains instructions which will help 
  3. you to accomplish this.

  5. There are two different patches included in this disk:
  6. PageStream22.pch and PageStream22_Upgrade.pch. The first one 
  7. (PageStream22.pch) should be used if you bought PageStream2 as a 
  8. new product. The second one (PageStream22_Upgrade.pch) should be 
  9. used if got PageStream2.2 by the upgrade. This is important because 
  10. the patches will not work on the wrong "version" of PageStream.
  11.  
  12. After the patch is complete, the original version of PageStream2 
  13. will be renamed to PageStream2.old, the new version will be named 
  14. PageStream2. The PageStream2.old file may be deleted if the patch 
  15. successfully completed.

  17. To execute the patch from the Workbench, simply drag the proper patch 
  18. icon to the drawer where your copy of pagestream is kept. Then double-
  19. click on the patch program. A script will be ran that will patch 
  20. PageStream for you. After the patch is complete, you may delete the 
  21. patch script file.

  23. To apply the patch from a CLI to the following:
  24.  
  25. 1) open up a CLI.
  26.  
  27. 2) cd to the drawer on your hard drive where your copy of pagestream 
  28.    is kept.
  29.    
  30.    example:     cd work:pagestream
  31.    
  32. 3) insert the HotLinks_Editions_Program disk into df0:
  33.  
  34. 4) copy the patch file to your current directory.
  35.    example:  copy df0:pgs2.2hl_patch/pgs22.pch to ""
  36.  
  37. 5) execute the patch.
  38.    example: df0:lpatch -ppgs22.pch pagestream2   
  39.  
  40. 6) the lpatch program created a new program called 'pagestream2'.
  41.    verify that this program has been created.
  42.    example: dir
  43.    
  44. 7) delete the old pagestream2 program.
  45.    example: delete pagestream2.old
  46.    
  47.  
  48. That's it, your copy of pagestream is now fully updated to 2.2HL.
